SUMMARY
The incumbent’s primary job function would be to Conceptualize & Design online promotions & print advertisements to result in meeting sales targets on channel
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned as necessary to fulfill optimum efficiency of this position:
- Conceptualizing & translating creative concepts into well-executed web pages
- Offline & Online Promotional Design: Banners, E-mailers, Print-ads etc
- Optimize web content, pages for higher SE rankings
- Understand & apply current trends and knowledge about web design
- Copy editing of the brief given & applying it creatively into the designs
- Maintain web pages and keep them up to date on prices, links, language, creative design, theme etc
- Co-ordination with the Technical Team and the Merchandisers
- Control page sizes and download time optimization
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skills, education and/or ability required for this position.
ESSENTIAL JOB SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, Photoshop, Dream weaver, Fireworks, Illustrator.
- Good knowledge of Flash, Web animation, JavaScript and DHTML
- Communication skills -Written, Verbal, Presentation. Copy editing – added advantage.
- Aesthetic skills, Visualization & Creativity
- Good knowledge of concepts of web design like image optimization, cross browser compatibility etc
- Ability to function in collaboration with other designers and programmers, meet deadlines
- Ability to deliver error-free creative. Good knowledge of English language
REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- Diploma / Degree in Multimedia / Graphic Design / Applied Arts
- MBA- added advantage
- 4+ years of experience in a digital design medium (web, CBT, e-learning). Experience in e-commerce design – added advantage
